St. Francis Herb Farm UTI Clear ((formerly Uritrin), 100 ml

Consisting of eight herbs blended with exquisite care to help those with urinary tract infections (cystitis or urethritis) or with a tendency to develop such infections, this is one of our longest standing and most effective formulas, a hallmark of the craftsmanship and quality we bring to the table as experienced herbalists. By keeping the urine flowing, Uritrin is also used to prevent the occurrence of stones. Since, moreover, it is an effective diuretic, it can be employed as an adjunctive treatment in cases of oedema.

The herbs in Uritrin have been specially chosen for their strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities directed specifically to the urinary tract. Modern research has confirmed their therapeutic usefulness for health problems that arise in this vital body system.

There is a further healing aspect to Uritrin® that is as intriguing as it is unexpected. It has been shown clinically that this herbal combination helps balance the emotions during difficult life changes or trauma, especially in the case of menopausal women.

Adult Dosage: Take 2 ml (60 drops) 3 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications.

Medicinal Ingredients: Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale, whole plant) 0.16 ml (1:1, QCE 160 mg fresh OR 1:3.5, QCE 46 mg dry), Juniper (Juniperus communis, fruit) 0.15 ml (1:3, QCE 50 mg), Golden Rod (Solidago canadensis, flowering top) 0.12 ml (1:2, QCE 60 mg fresh OR 1:4, QCE 30 mg dry), Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis, root) 0.12 ml (1:1.85, QCE 65 mg fresh OR 1:4, QCE 30 mg dry), Echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia, root and rhizome) 0.12 ml (1:4, QCE 30 mg), Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens, root and rhizome) 0.12 ml (1:4, QCE 30 mg), Horsetail (Equisetum arvense, top) 0.11 ml (1:4, QCE 27.5 mg), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium, flower) 0.10 ml (1:4, QCE 25 mg)

Duration of Use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 4 weeks as a urinary tract antiseptic. For occasional use only as a diuretic.

Cautions and Warnings: Consult a health care practitioner before use: if you are breastfeeding; if you have an autoimmune disorder or a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, leukosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and/or HIV infectiion; if you are taking immunosuppressants; if you have a chronic kidney disorder or acute pyelonephritis. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.

Contraindications: Do not use: if you are pregnant; if you have gall bladder and/or bowel obstruction or empyema; if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family; if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face, and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.

Known Adverse Reactions: Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur, in which case discontinue use.
