- AOR Ortho Iron Vegan, 60 Vegetable Capsules
Product Description
Anemia is the most common blood disorder in the world and it is characterized by a reduced number of red blood cells (RBCs). There are different factors that cause anemia, but a decrease in the body’s ability to produce RBCs is the most common. This type of anemia is known as iron deficiency anemia or pernicioius anemia when the body is deficient in vitamin B12 and folic acid. Treating anemia is important for improving fatigue, concentration and energy in anemics. Ortho•Iron Vegan reduces the risk of developing and also treats iron deficiency and pernicious anemia, promotes proper red blood cell formation and is a highly absorbable and non-constipating iron formula. Formulated with supporting nutrients such as vitamins B12 and B6, folic acid, vitamin C, zinc and copper, Ortho•Iron Vegan is a comprehensive iron formula which addresses the different causes of anemia and improves iron absorption without causing constipation, like most iron supplements. Vegans and vegetarians will benefit from Ortho•Iron Vegan because they are at a higher risk of anemia and, iron and B12 deficiency, simply because their diets do not provide the absorbable, heme form of iron, and vitamin B12, primarily found in meat.
