Maxi Boz II is a standardized extract of the resin of Boswellia serrata, also known as Indian Frankincense, a botanical with a long historical usage in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to support joint inflammation and general inflammation.
Boswellia reduces inflammation and pain in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and has even been shown effective in reducing the severity of inflammatory intestinal disorders. Boswellia extracts are safer and more potent than conventional non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Treatment with NSAIDs is a well-known contributing factor to articular degeneration. Supplementation with Boswellia serrata extract has been shown to prevent the degradation of glycosaminoglycan, one of the major constituents of cartilage.
